Secaucus Police Blotter, Aug. 29 - Sept. 4
At 2:17 a.m. Friday, a motorcycle was observed driving past a DWI checkpoint in the area of Rt. 3 West, said SPD. A police chase ensued:
SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Aug. 29 at 12:37 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43-year-old man, Rashid Fairley of Bayonne, NJ for one outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. Fairley was issued 1 motor vehicle summons. Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Fairley for transport back to their authority.
On Aug. 31 at 12:30 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division regarding the theft of a bicycle that occurred at 101 Plaza Centre Rd on Aug. 8, the police responded to the Rodeway Inn located at 155 Rt. 3 East and arrested a 28-year-old male, Francisco Cosme-Ortiz of Secaucus, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Cosme-Ortiz was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Aug. 31 at 9:57 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of 1151 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43-year-old male, Theodore Jones of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Genesse County Sheriff’s Office in NY with no bail. Jones was also charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. He was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Aug. 31 at 12:36 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22-year-old male, Brandon Ramirez of Union City, NJ for Unlawful Possession of a Handgun [2C:39-5B(1)]. Mr. Ramirez was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On Sept. 2 at 2:17 a.m., a motorcycle was observed driving recklessly and pass without stopping a DWI checkpoint that had been set up in the area of Rt. 3 West. After a brief vehicle pursuit, a motor vehicle stop of the motorcycle was conducted in the area of Rt. 3 West and the exit ramp to Rt. 21 where the police arrested a 28-year-old male, Alexander Roccamo of Clifton, NJ for Eluding [2C:29-2A(3)A] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2B]. Roccamo was issued his complaint summons along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Sept. 2 at 9:34 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old male, Jabari Rawlins of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $850 with a 10% option. Rawlins was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Oxycodone [2C:35-10A(1)]. Rawlins was issued his complaint warrant along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Sept. 3 at 5:58 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 48-year-old male, Alain Diaz of Hialeah, Florida for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Hopatcong, NJ with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $50. Diaz was also charged with Certain Persons not to Possess Weapons [2C:39-7A] for having in his possession a sword. Diaz was issued his complaint warrant along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Sept. 4 at 2:03 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to Valley Court on a report of an individual climbing through a window of a residence and unlawfully entering the apartment. During the investigation, the police arrested a 40-year-old male, Jorge Montoya-Delacruz of Passaic, NJ for Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3A]. Diaz was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Sept. 4 at 10:50 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old male, Diandre Lesuer of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. Lesuer was issued one motor vehicle summons. Officers from the Jersey City Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Lesuer for transport back to their authority.
On Sept. 4 at 9:14 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Sunoco gas station located at 249 Rt. 3 East on a report of a dispute with one of the individuals possibly possessing a handgun, which was deemed unfounded. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old male, Rayvon Williamson of Paterson, NJ for 5 outstanding warrants issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $3,750. Williamson was also charged with Certain Persons not to Possess Weapons [2C:39-7A] for having in his possession a knife, Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to law enforcement and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D]. Williamson was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
