Secaucus Police Blotter, Feb. 24 - March 1
Multiple people were charged with drunk driving in different incidents last week in Secaucus:
SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police, all the arrests for that time period:
On Feb. 24 at 3:54 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Morris County Jail to take into custody a 56-year-old male, Amos Barner of Newark, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500 Mr. Barner was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Feb. 24 at 8:32 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Newark Police Department to take into custody a 48-year-old male, David Melvin of Jersey City, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Lyndhurst, NJ in the amount of $250, one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Melvin was able to post bail for the outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ and Jersey City, NJ. The Lyndhurst Police Department did release Mr. Melvin on his own recognizance and he was subsequently released from police custody.

On Feb. 25 at 4:12 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 20-year-old male, Anthony Roman of Paterson, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Paramus, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Roman was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. The Secaucus Police also arrested a 23-year-old male, Riley Felton of Paterson, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $2,000 with a 10% option. The Newark Police Department did release Mr. Felton on his own recognizance and he was released from police custody. Mr. Roman was served his complaint warrant, was issued nine motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Feb. 25 at 6:19 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the intersection of County Avenue and Centre Avenue on a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22-year- old male, Flavio Delosangeles-Oliveras of Union City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Delosangeles-Oliveras was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with seven additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On Feb. 26 at 1:07 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Rodeway Inn located at 155 Route 3 East on a report of a female who had not vacated her room at the proper time. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24-year-old female, Alexandra Tyrrell of Secaucus for one outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth in the amount of $1,500 along with one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $500. The Elizabeth Police Department along with the Secaucus Police Department did release Ms. Tyrrell on her own recognizance and she was released from police custody.
On Feb. 26 at 2:58 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Austin Jeffery of Jersey City, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Bedminster, NJ in the amount of $800 along with one outstanding warrant issued out of Mountainside, NJ in the amount of $500. Mr. Jeffery was able to post bail for both warrants, was issued three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Feb. 26 at 4:36 p.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of 700 Plaza Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 21-year-old male, Michael Nunez of Union City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Nunez was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Feb. 27 at 12:48 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a possible fraud. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old male, Edwin Marines of Kearny, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of New Providence, NJ in the amount of $600. New Providence Police did release Mr. Marines on his own recognizance and he was released from police custody.
On Feb. 28 at 12:48 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male, Kyle Frenche of Bayonne for one outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City in the amount of $100. Mr. Frenche was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from custody.
On Feb. 28 at 3:15 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 47-year-old male, Eric Shankland of Moonachie, NJ for one outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Pennsylvania with no bail. Mr. Shankland was further charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Prohibited Weapons [2C:39-3E], specifically a Metal Dagger. Mr. Shankland was issued his complaint warrant along with one motor vehicle summons and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Feb. 28 at 7:20 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 36-year-old male, Ryan McNulty of Englishtown, NJ for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. The police also arrested a 49-year-old female, Melvina Robinson of Somerset, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] believed to be used to inhale crack cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] believed to be used to inhale marijuana. Mr. McNulty was served his complaint summons, was issued three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. Ms. Robinson was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Feb. 28 at 1:30 p.m., a 40-year-old male, Juan Flores of Secaucus entered Secaucus Police Headquarters and was found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of Old Bridge, NJ in the amount of $900 with a 10% option. Mr. Flores was released on his own recognizance and he was subsequently released from police custody.
On Feb. 28 at 9:37 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 20-year-old male, Alberto Rojas of Jersey City, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $250. Mr. Rojas was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Feb. 28 at 11:46 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old male, Collin Alexander of Jersey City, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100. Mr. Alexander was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
On Feb. 29 at 6:54 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting where the actors involved reportedly fled the store in a motor vehicle. During a motor vehicle stop with the involved vehicle, the police arrested a 30-year-old male, Keian Sealy of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(2)], Trafficking in Personal Identifying Information Pertaining to Another Person [2C:21-17.3B(2)], Conspiracy to commit Trafficking in Personal Identifying Information Pertaining to Another Person [2C:5-2A(1)], Possession of False Government Documents [2C:21-2.1D] and Conspiracy to commit an Offense involving False Government Documents [2C:5-2A(1)]. The police also arrested a 40-year-old male, Ernst Bazelais of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(2)] and Hindering Apprehension by Providing False Information [2C:29-3B(4)] along with a 47-year-old male, Robert Martin of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(2)], Trafficking in Personal Identifying Information Pertaining to Another Person [2C:21-17.3B(2)], Conspiracy to commit Trafficking in Personal Identifying Information Pertaining to Another Person [2C:5-2A(1)], Possession of False Government Documents [2C:21-2.1D] and Conspiracy to commit an Offense involving False Government Documents [2C:5-2A(1)]. Mr. Bazelais was also found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of Newark in the amount of $2,500 with a 10% option, one outstanding warrant issued out of Hillsborough, NJ in the amount of $750 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Mr. Sealy was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. Mr. Martin and Mr. Bazelais were served their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On March 1 at 10:17 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Sunoco gas station located at 249 Rt. 3 East on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old male, Jose Irizarry of Yonkers, NY for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Irizarry was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with one additional motor vehicle summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
