Secaucus Police Blotter, Feb. 28 - March 6
There were many arrests in town last week for shoplifting, especially at the Marshall's, TJ Maxx and Walmart:
SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Feb. 28 at 4:35 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, police charged 40-year-old Jamaal Cyrus of Jersey City, NJ with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Cyrus was also found to be involved in a shoplifting on the same date at Best Buy located at 3 Millcreek Drive. He was issued his complaint warrant for shoplifting for the incident at Walmart and issued a complaint warrant for shoplifting for the incident at Best Buy. Cyrus was issued both complaint warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Feb. 28 at 7:00 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old male, William Shutte of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Xanax [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Klonopin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. The police also arrested a 38-year-old female, Kathryn Jarvis of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Shutte was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Jarvis was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On March 1 at 11:12 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26-year-old male of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ for $5,000 with a 10 percent option. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued five motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On March 1 at 2:00 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Residence Inn by Marriott located at 800 Plaza Drive on a report of suspicious activity involving the fraudulent purchase of hotel rooms. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old male, Vincent Winfield of West New York, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the U.S. Marshall’s Office in Arlington, VA with no bail. Winfield was additionally charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information and being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. He was issued his complaint warrant and complaint summons and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On March 2 at 12:58 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $500 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
On March 2 at 9:21 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26-year-old male of Cliffside Park, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $250. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On March 2 at 3:33 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old male of Bellville, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Nutley, NJ in the amount of $500. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On March 2 at 9:59 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 39-year-old male, Jay Penny of Lyndhurst, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Suboxone [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Zolpidem [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Penny was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On March 3 at 1:36 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the North Brunswick Police Department to take into custody a 37-year-old male of Elizabeth, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On March 3 at 12:41 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33-year-old male of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Passaic did release him on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On March 3 at 3:47 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to 43 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a trespassing. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22-year-old male, Jacobo Molina of North Bergen, NJ for Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3A] after he was found to have entered an ambulance that was located on private property. Molina was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On March 3 at 11:07 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $1,500. He was issued three motor vehicle summonses. Officers from the Hackensack Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of the man for transport back to their authority.
On March 5 at 1:06 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Marshall’s located at 300 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested the following individuals: A 46 year old female, Ana Ortiz-Zamora of Paterson, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], a 21 year old male, Sebastian Lopez of Paterson, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Using an Antishoplifting Countermeasure Device [2C:20-11F] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and a 23 year old male, Steven Quiroga-Solano of Paterson, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Using an Antishoplifting Device [2C:20-11F], Conspiracy to Commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be CB2 [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. Ortiz-Zamora, Mr. Lopez and Mr. Quiroga-Solano were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On March 6 at 5:23 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to TJ Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22-year-old female, Elisse Motley of Newark, NJ for Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Obstructing the administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)] and Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug believed to be Amitriptyline Hydrochloride [2C:35-10.5E(1)]. Ms. Motley was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington, NJ in the amount of $7,000.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Tinton Falls, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 and 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Wayne, NJ with no bail. Ms. Motley was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On March 6 at 9:40 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28-year-old female of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington, NJ in the amount of $500 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office with no bail. Rivera was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
