Secaucus Police Blotter, Feb. 5 - Feb. 11

It was a busy week for Secaucus Police:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On Feb. 6 at 10:21 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 64-year-old male, Raymond Koeller of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Koeller was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional two motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On Feb. 6 at 11:45 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Teaneck Police Department to take into custody a 36-year-old female, Gabriela Acosta of Paramus, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,250.00. Ms. Acosta was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date and was released from police custody.

On Feb. 6 at 4:10 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41-year-old female, Gissell Cruzgabriel of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Woodbridge PD did release Ms. Cruzgabriel on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.

On Feb. 7 at 4:37 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Riverside Station Boulevard on a well-being check of a juvenile. It was reported to the police that the parent of the juvenile was possibly intoxicated and not able to care for his child. It was the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCCP) that called the police. This happened at a private apartment. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. The man was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Feb. 8 at 2:20 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot at 101 Plaza Centre for a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old male, Sorin Marcu of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Marcu was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional three motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On Feb. 9 at 2:34 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Aloft Hotel for a report of suspicious package that was received by the hotel. An investigation was conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Anti-Crime Unit. At 12:50 a.m. on Feb. 10, Secaucus responded back to the Aloft Hotel and took into custody a 45-year-old male, Edgar Chavez of Temecula, CA for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(10)(B)] in a quantity of approximately 18 pounds, Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3] and Possession of CDS believed to be Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Chavez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Feb. 10 at 4:48 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31-year-old male, Emmanuel Coronado-Rosario of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Lodi, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Coronado-Rosario was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and he was released from police custody.

On Feb. 10 at 10:38 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Extended Stay America located at 1 Meadowlands Parkway for a report of a man in one of their hotel rooms with a gun, and not allowing others in the room to leave. An investigation was conducted which revealed the initial report of a male with a firearm was found to be false. During further investigation, the police arrested a 26-year-old male, Zaire Jacobs of Paterson, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Crystal Meth [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Mr. Jacobs was found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $5,000. The police also arrested a 41-year-old male, Miguel Pacheco of Hawthorne, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia with no bail. Mr. Pacheco was subsequently charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Both Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Pacheco were issued their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Feb. 11 at 2:55 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43-year-old male, Julio Ramirez of Paterson, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Ramirez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
