SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all the arrests for that time period:

On July 24 at 12:14 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to packages belonging to others that were received by a resident on the 200 block of Maple Street that was reported to the police on June 19, the police responded to Maple Street and arrested a 36-year-old male, Anton Garrett of Secaucus, NJ for Theft of Identity [2C:21-17A(3)], Fencing [2C:20-7.1B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Identity Theft [2C:5-2A(2)] and Trafficking in Personal Identifying Information [2C:21-17.3B(2)]. Mr. Garrett was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On July 24 at 9:07 p.m., Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 35-year-old male, Jonathan Gunn of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600. Mr. Rojas was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On July 27 at 5:06 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 52-year-old male, Martin DeJesus Almonte Vargas of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $750. Mr. Vargas was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On July 29 at 7:28 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to PetSmart located at 400 Mill Creek Drive on a report of an individual screaming for help that was discovered to be a theft of property. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old male, Onntrell Cunningham of Philadelphia, PA for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Gloucester City, NJ in the amount of $800. Gloucester City PD did release Mr. Cunningham on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was released from police custody. It was later discovered that Onntrell Cunningham was not involved in the theft.

On July 29 at 11:03 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old male, Danny Parrales of North Bergen, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Mr. Parrales was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Parrales was issued his complaint summons and was subsequently transported to the Bergen County Jail.
