On July 31 at 2:53 p.m., Secaucus Police arrested a 40-year-old male, Almustafa Bennet of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $1,500. Mr. Bennet was taken into custody at Secaucus Police headquarters. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the East Orange Police Department.

On Aug. 3 at 2:00 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Bureau in relation to a robbery that occurred on Feb. 28 of this year on Millridge Road, police arrested a 20-year-old male, Nasir Sanchez of Union City, NJ for Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)], Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Robbery [2C:52A(1)], Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4A(1)], Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)] and Conspiring with a Juvenile to commit a Criminal Offense [2C:24-9A]. Mr. Sanchez was taken into custody at Secaucus Police headquarters after he voluntarily entered police headquarters. Mr. Sanchez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Aug. 4 at 4:31 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department’s Anti-Crime Squad in relation to a robbery that occurred on Aug. 3 on Garry Terrace, Secaucus Police arrested 26-year-old male, Derryan Jimenez of New York, NY for Robbery [2C:15-1], Assault by Auto [2C:12-1c], and Conspiracy to commit Robbery [2C:5-2]. Mr. Jimenez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Aug. 6 at 4:30 a.m., there was a motor vehicle crash in the area of Rt. 3 East and Harmon Meadow Blvd. in which the driver left the scene of the crash. Secaucus Police arrested a 58-year-old male, Vicente Canalesmejia of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Canalesmejia was issued several other motor vehicle summonses, including one for Leaving the Scene of an Accident [39:4-129b], and was subsequently released to the custody of a responsible adult.
