Secaucus Police Blotter, June 8 - June 15
Secaucus Police made several prostitution arrests last Thursday, in a targeted enforcement tied to the World Cup:
SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On June 9 at 7:25 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old man of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $3,000 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail, was issued one motor vehicle summons and released.
On June 9 at 3:01 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Extended Stay Hotel located at 1 Plaza Drive on a report of an individual who caused damage to a road sign. Police arrested a 36-year-old man, Camilo Pineda of Houston, TX for Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3.1]. He was given a summons to appear in court and released.

On June 9 at 8:57 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30-year-old man of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Carlstadt, NJ with no bail. Carlstadt Police took custody.
On June 11 at 9:07 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 19-year-old woman, Jireh Ruiz of Jersey City for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.2A]. She was issued a warrant and taken to the Hudson County Jail.

On June 11, Secaucus Police also did a targeted prostitution sting tied to the World Cup. In an effort to reduce vice-related crimes in the town of Secaucus, the Secaucus Police Detective Division/Anti-Crime Unit arrested the following individuals; at 6:55 p.m., the police arrested a 27-year-old woman Jessica Basto-Guevara of Long Island City, NY for Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)] and Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. Ms. Basto Guevara was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody. At 9:32 p.m., the police arrested a 29-year-old woman, Niia Billups of Montclair, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Billups was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ with no bail. The police also arrested a 38-year-old woman, Shante Westley of Maplewood, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)], Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)], Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-5B(3)] and Evidence Tampering [2C:28-6(1)]. Ms. Westley was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $750. East Orange PD released Westley on her own recognizance pending a future court date. During this same incident the police also arrested a 26-year-old woman, Deonte Hobson of Newark, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Hobson was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 with a 10% option. Both Newark and Union PDs released her pending future court dates. Billups was issued her complaint warrant and taken to the Hudson County Jail. Hobson and Westley were issued their complaint summonses and released from police custody. At 9:57, the police arrested a 20-year-old woman, Andrew Balladres Anchundia of Newark, NJ for Promoting Prostitution [2C:34 1B(2)], Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)] and Conspiracy to commit Distribution of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:5-2A(1)]. SPD also arrested a 27-year-old man, Karl Saway of West Orange, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(11)(B)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-5B(3)] and Money Laundering [2C:21-25A]. Both Ms. Balladres- Anchundia and Mr. Saway were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On June 13 at 10:23 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 42-year-old woman of Rutherford, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Rutherford, NJ with no bail. The police also arrested a 37-year-old man of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $6,000 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wayne, NJ in the amount of $1,000. THe woman was issued 5 motor vehicle summonses and transported to the Rutherford Police Department. The man was able to post bail for his warrants and was released from police custody.
On June 14 at 9:04 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 48-year-old man of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Officers from the Passaic County Sherriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters for transport back to their agency.
