Secaucus Police Blotter, March 19 - March 25

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by the Secaucus police department on Monday, March 26 and unedited by Patch:

On March 19 at 7:29 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop, a 25-year-old male, Stefan Seguen of North Bergen was arrested for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Seguen was processed, placed on a warrant, issued three motor vehicle summonses (Improper Display, Failure to Stop and Possession of CDS in Motor Vehicle) then transported to Hudson County Jail.

On March 20 at 3:41 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop a 22-year-old male, Jake Gutierrez of Union City was arrested for Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Gutierrez was processed issued two motor vehicle summonses (Tinted Windows, Possession of CDS in Motor Vehicle) then released.

On March 21, at 10:07 a.m. Secaucus Police were dispatched to Home Deport on a call of shoplifting. A 67-year-old man, Eduardo Valenzuela of Hoboken was arrested for shoplifting [2C:20-11B]. Mr. Valenzuela was processed and transported to Hudson County Jail.

On March 22 at 2:46 p.m. Secaucus Police arrested a 30-year-old man Richard Renner of Hackensack for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $3,500 from Hackensack. Custody of Mr. Renner was released to the Bergen County Sheriff’s Dept.

On March 22 at 3:10 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop a 36-year-old man, Mario Flores of Clifton, was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $200 from Bloomfield. Mr. Flores posted bail, was issued one motor vehicle summons (Driving with Suspended License) and released without incident.

On March 23 at 10:55 a.m., Secaucus police arrested a 37-year-old woman, Joanny Paulino of Paterson for two counts of credit card fraud [2C:21-6C(1)], [2C:21-6H] and burglary [2C:18-2A(1)]. Ms. Paulino allegedly entered her co-worker’s vehicle and stole her credit card. The victim had received numerous alerts that her credit cards were used to purchase plane tickets and purchases from various retailers, police said. Ms. Paulino was processed, issued her summons and released.

On March 24 at 4:25 p.m. Secaucus police investigated a suspicious person at the Royal Motel. A 22-year-old man, Jonathan Castillo of Hackensack, was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $2,500 from Jersey City. Castillo posted bail and then released.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
