Secaucus Police Blotter, May 21 - May 27
After getting complaints from residents of suspected drug dealing, Secaucus police charged a man with selling pot and pills on Central Lane.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police, the arrests in town last week:
On May 24 at 4:05 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop, a 41-year-old male, Selvio Uribe of Jersey City, was arrested for four outstanding warrants: Three from Jersey City totaling $300 and a no-bail warrant from the Hudson County Sheriff. A 54-year-old male, George Clayton (passenger) of Bayonne was arrested for three outstanding warrants totaling $1,750 from Edgewater and Lyndhurst. Uribe was issued a motor vehicle summons (driving while suspended) and transported to Hudson County Jail. Custody of Clayton was turned over to Edgewater police department.
On May 25 at 9:04 a.m. Secaucus police were dispatched to Essex County Corrections to take custody of a 25-year-old male, Antuan Belfield of Newark, for an outstanding warrant from Secaucus. Belfield was transported directly to Hudson County Jail.

On May 25 at 4:13 p.m. Secaucus police were dispatched to a home where family members were concerned about possession of a controlled dangerous substance. A 52-year-old female, Patricia Holloway of Secaucus was arrested for Possession of CDS (suspected heroin) [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], and Under the Influence of CDS [2C:35-10B]. Holloway was processed, issued a summons and released.
On May 25 at 7:10 p.m., Secaucus police were dispatched to the UPS on a call of a disorderly person. A 42-year-old male, Anthony Lott III, was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $750 from Scotch Plains. Scotch Plains police issued an R.O.R. Lott was released without incident.

After receiving reports from residents in the area of suspected drug dealing, Secaucus detectives launched a three-week investigation: On May 26, the Detectives Bureau arrested a 22-year-old Secaucus man and charged him with selling marijuana on Central Lane in the North End of town, near Schmidts Woods park. Some local juvenile teens were also arrested alongside him; one was charged with also selling the drugs and the others were charged with underage drinking.
The 22-year-old male, Christopher Mendez of Secaucus, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana [2C:35-5B(11)], three counts of possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park [2C:35-7.1A] and one count of each of the following: Possession of CDS (pills), [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS with intent to Distribute [2C:35-5B(13)], Possession of Marijuana over 50 grams [2C:35-10A(3)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with intent to Distribute [2C:36-3], Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. A 17-year-old male was also arrested alongside him and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana [2C: 35-5B(11)], possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park [2C: 35-7.1A], possession of marijuana under 50 grams. [2C:35-10A(4)] and possession of alcohol by a minor [2C:33-15A]. Three other juveniles were charged with Possession of Alcohol by a Minor [2C:33-15A]. Mendez was processed and transported to the Hudson County Jail. All juveniles were released to their parents.
On May 26 at 2:09 p.m. Secaucus police were dispatched to the Best Buy on a call of possible fraud. A 55-year-old male, David Rose New York, NY was charged with three counts of fraud. A 26-year-old male, Desmond Nixon of White Plains, NY was arrested for obstructing justice. Rose was processed, issued his summons and released. Nixon was issued his summons, then released.
On May 27 at 5:11 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop, a 36-year-old male, Carlos Castro of Union City, was arrested for two outstanding warrants, $500 from North Bergen, and a no-bail warrant from the Hudson County Sheriff’s office. Castro was issued three motor vehicle summonses (Suspended DL, Suspended Registration, No Liability Insurance) and custody turned over to the Hudson County Sheriff.
