SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests in town:
On May 7 at 6:19 p.m., Secaucus police responded to 8th Street on a report of a juvenile being struck by her father. During the investigation, police arrested a 61-year-old male, of Secaucus, NJ for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4a(2)], Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D] and Abuse and Neglect of a Child [9:6-1]. He was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. (Name not released to protect the privacy of the child.)
On May 8 at 4:24 a.m., officers from the North Bergen police department responded to Secaucus police headquarters to transfer custody of a 30-year-old male, Jose Ulloa of Fairview, NJ for one outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200. Mr. Ulloa was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On May 8 at 7:28 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus police arrested a 24-year-old female, Queyonna Powell of Jersey City, NJ for two outstanding warrants out of Jersey City in the amount of $200. Ms. Powell was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On May 9 at 1:51 a.m., Secaucus police responded to the Paramus Police Department to take custody of a 53-year-old female, Elizabeth Bernard of Englewood, NJ for one outstanding warrant out of Secaucus in the amount of $200. Secaucus Municipal Court did release Ms. Bernard on her own recognizance. Ms. Bernard was given a new court date and was subsequently released from police custody.

On May 9 at 6:30 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 34-year-old female, Zola Smith of Bayonne, NJ and a 41-year-old male, Gazie Nesheiwat of Bayonne, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to Commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Ms. Smith was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody. Mr. Nesheiwat was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On May 10 at 5:13 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the dead end of Farm Road on a report of a dispute over found property. During the investigation, the police arrested a 55-year-old female, Theresa Brown of Philadelphia, PA for one outstanding warrant out of Mount Laurel, NJ in the amount of $750. Ms. Brown was further charged with Theft of Property Lost/Mislaid [2C:20-6]. Mount Laurel Police Department did release Ms. Brown on her own recognizance. Ms. Brown was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On May 12 at 2:44 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Extended Stay Hotel located at 1 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a disorderly intoxicated male. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old male, Igor Scolnic of Knoxville, Tennessee for Defiant Trespass [2C:18-3B], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Scolnic was served his complaint summons and was subsequently released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
