SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police and unedited by Patch, last week's arrests and incidents:
On Sept. 24 at 4:49 p.m., during a motor-vehicle stop, Secaucus police arrested a 34-year-old male, Yazan Tarkhan of Clifton, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Cedar Grove, NJ in the amount of $89. Mr. Tarkhan posted bail and was released from custody.
On Sept. 26 at 10:22 a.m., Secaucus police responded to Seaview Drive on a report of EMS personnel who needed assistance. During the investigation the police arrested a 47-year-old male, Akbar Elston of Newark for aggravated assault on EMS personnel. Mr. Elston was served his complaint and transported to the Hudson County jail. He allegedly struck EMTs giving him aid.

On Sept. 26 at 8:41 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Red Lobster at 700 Plaza Drive on a report of a possible kidnapping. During the investigation, Secaucus police arrested the following: A 40-year-old male, Brian Spruill of Irvington, NJ for four outstanding warrants out of Irvington totaling $863, along with a 41-year-old female, Annette Green of Irvington, for an outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $100. She was further charged with false public alarm for making the false kidnapping claim. Mr. Spruill was released by Irvington police on his own recognizance and Ms. Green posted bail for the warrant, was issued her complaint summons and was released from custody.
On Sept. 27 at 2:05 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Newark police department to take custody of a 22- year-old female, Nicole Taveras of Newark, for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus in the amount of $200. Ms. Tavares posted bail and was released from custody.

On Sept. 28 at 2:56 a.m., Secaucus police responded on a motor vehicle accident in the area of the Candlewood Suites on Secaucus Road. During the investigation, a 21-year-old male, Ritwin Reddy Kudumula of Jersey City, NJ was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Mr. Kudumula was served his summonses and was released from custody to a responsible adult.
On Sept. 29 at 10:38 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Extended Stay Hotel at 1 Meadowland Parkway. During the investigation, a 45-year-old male, William Adams of Fayetteville, NC was arrested and charged with possession of CDS believed to be marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Adams was served his complaint and released from custody.
On Sept. 29 at 4:41 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Essex County Jail to take custody of a 53-year-old male, Marvin Billings of Newark for an outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $200. Mr. Billing was subsequently transported to the Hudson County jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
