SECAUCUS, NJ — Released weekly by Secaucus police. Names are only published if someone is charged with a crime (as opposed to a disorderly persons offense):
On Sept. 9 at 7:06 a.m., an individual entered Secaucus police headquarters for the purpose of satisfying two outstanding warrants. The police arrested a 35-year-old male of Frankford, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Parssipany-Troy Hills in the amount of $500 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Newton Township in the amount of $1,000 with a 10% option. Both the Parssipany-Troy Hills Police Department and the Newton Township Police Department released him on his own recognizance and he was subsequently released from police custody.
On Sept. 9 at 8:36 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Chase Bank located at 450 Plaza Drive on a report of suspicious men on the premises. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20-year-old male Anferny Vargas of Westbury, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Unlawful Use of Credit Cards [2C:21-6C(1)]. The police also arrested a 20-year-old male of the Bronx, NY and a 20-year-old male of the Bronx, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana[2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Vargas was issued his complaint summons along with two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. The other two were issued their complaint summons and were released from police custody.

On Sept. 11 at 10:02 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, the police arrested a 28-year-old male, Jose Maldonado of Paterson for Possession of CDS believed to be MDMA/Ecstasy [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Maldonado was issued his complaint summons along with two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Sept. 11 at 5:08 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, the police arrested a 25 year old male, Basir Mccoy, of Philadelphia, PA for Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, specifically metal knuckles [2C:39-3E]. Mr. Mccoy was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Sept. 12 at 8:26 a.m., Secaucus police responded to 1109 Riverside Station Boulevard on a welfare check. During the course of the investigation, the police arrested a 45-year-old female of Secaucus for one outstanding warrant issued out of Carlstadt in the amount of $100. She was able to post bail and was subsequently released from police custody.
On Sept. 12 at 1:50 p.m., Secaucus police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a fight in progress. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old male, Marlon Baker of New York, NY for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(3)], Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D] and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a baseball bat [2C:39-5D]. He was beating a man known to him, said Secaucus police. Mr. Baker was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Sept. 12 at 5:22 p.m., officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus police headquarters to transfer custody of a 45-year-old male of Union City, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $300 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
On Sept. 13 at 8:51 a.m., Secaucus police responded to the Recreation Center located at 1200 Koelle Boulevard on a report of a male who was possibly intoxicated attempting to operate a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 56-year-old male of Secaucus for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with four additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On Sept. 13 at 12:20 p.m., Secaucus police responded to Ashley Furniture located at 925 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a male attempting to use a fraudulent credit card. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year -old male, Anthony Aquino of Allentown, PA for Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6H] and Possession of False Government Documents [2C:21-2.1D]. Mr. Aquino was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Sept. 14 at 5:20 a.m. officers from the Jersey City Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 23-year-old male of Jersey City for one outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington in the amount of $500 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $100. Both the Irvington Police Department and the Secaucus Police Department released him on his own recognizance and he was subsequently released from police custody.
On Sept. 15 at 2:54 a.m., Secaucus police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 26-year-old male of the Bronx, NY for Eluding [2C:29-2B] and Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. He was also found to have three outstanding warrants issued out of Roxbury, NJ in the amount of $1,200 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Closter, NJ in the amount of $1,500. Both the Roxbury Police Department and the Closter Police Department released him on his own recognizance. He was issued his complaint summons along with two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
