Secaucus Rotary Club Hosts Drum Circle For Town Seniors

On March 28, Secaucus Rotary Club hosted a drum circle event for some of the town's seniors.

SECAUCUS, NJ — On March 28, Secaucus Rotary Club hosted a drum circle event for some of the town’s seniors.

Secaucus Rotarians Cindy Randina and Bonnie Sirower organized this event. Cindy Kresch, from A-Hum Music, participated as well.

Also in attendance and assisting were Secaucus Rotary Club President Rob Merlo, Eydie Shapiro and Rick Saltarelli.

It has been shown that engaging in music and participating in playing some simple musical instruments such as drums can help seniors focus and help with cognitive issues.

Secaucus seniors said they enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to the next visit from the Secaucus Rotary Club.
