Secaucus VFW Remembers Vietnam War Soldiers Sunday At Town's War Memorial

SECAUCUS, NJ — On Sunday, March 29, the Secaucus VFW, led by Phil Papas, held a ceremony to remember and honor those who served in the Vietnam War.
Sunday's service was to mark the end of the war in 1973.
Sunday's gathering paid special tribute to Vietnam veteran Purple Heart recipients Frank Sasso, John Reilly, Jim Fitzsimmons, Phil Papa and Paul Pinkman.

Secaucus Councilman Bill McKeever led the ceremony and Papa and Claude Macchieraldo spoke on behalf of the VFW and American Legion respectively.
Mayor Mike Gonnelli thanked all Vietnam veterans for their service and for their continued contributions to our community. Veterans Affairs Coordinator Jack Dunne represented Hudson County in the tribute and Rev. Victor Kennedy led the opening and closing prayers.
