Thefts Reported At Secaucus LA Fitness
Do you belong to the LA Fitness? Items have been stolen from the locker rooms, and a gym employee was arrested on another matter last week.

SECAUCUS, NJ — There has been a rash of thefts recently at the Secaucus LA Fitness, police told Patch this week. And when police went to the gym last week to investigate, they ended up arresting an LA Fitness employee who was wanted on an outstanding drug charge in another town.
Police said they aren't sure what's been taken, but multiple incidents have been reported of personal items being stolen from the men's locker rooms. Last Wednesday night, Jan. 3, Secaucus police went to the gym to investigate.
While speaking to gym employees, they discovered one employee, Adam Nasser, 28, of Bloomfield was wanted on an outstanding drug warrant for $250 from Cliffside Park. Nasser has been incarcerated multiple times before and was apparently working at the LA Fitness as part of his prison work-release program ordered by the New Jersey State Dept. of Corrections. Nasser has been in prison for various drug charges, as well as one incident of robbery in Bergen County in 2007. He was not charged relating to the thefts at the gym, but was instead wanted for drug possession in Cliffside Park, police said.

The thefts occurred in the men's locker room, Patch has learned. Items that were stolen included valuable bags, designer sweatshirts and jackets and other items. The items were not always placed in lockers, or locked. Sometimes patrons would put them down and then go to use the bathroom or wash their hands, and then return just moments later to find them gone.
Nasser worked in housekeeping at the gym.
