• Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission Invites Applicants for 2027 Arts and History Grants (tapinto.net) — Somerset County is now accepting applications for its 2027 arts and history grants, which help fund cultural programming that benefits communities including Somerset. Eligible nonprofits, libraries, arts and history groups, and municipalities can apply for Local Arts Program and County History Partnership grants, with applications due by 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 in Somerville.
   

• Somerville Man Found Competent to Stand Trial in Fatal Stabbing of Mary Rose Fealy (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A judge has ruled a Somerville man competent to stand trial in one of Somerset County's most closely watched homicide cases, the 2024 fatal stabbing of Mary Rose Fealy. With competency restored after treatment at Ann Klein Forensic Center, the case will now move forward in Superior Court, with the next hearing set for September 14.
