Venetian Care & Rehabilitation in South Amboy, N.J., Welcomes Cardiologist, Pulmonologist and Nephrologist

Venetian Care & Rehabilitation in South Amboy welcomes pulmonologist Avtar S. Parhar, MD, nephrologist Deepali Prasad, MD, and cardiologist Shaddy K. Younan, MD, to its clinical leadership team. The appointments mark a significant specialized care program expansion at the South Amboy skilled nursing center.

All three doctors are affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health, and each brings more than 20 years of experience in their specialty practices.

• Dr. Parhar is directing Venetian's RespiraCare Pulmonary Rehab, which is designed to enhance lung function and support overall well-being after an illness or hospitalization. Services are tailored to assist individuals with all levels of pulmonary function, from newly diagnosed patients to those managing chronic respiratory conditions.
• With Dr. Prasad's leadership, Venetian's RenalX program provides specialized care and services to patients with chronic kidney disease and related diagnoses, to help preserve kidney function and prevent further decline through treatment and education. This includes protocols to reduce symptoms, decrease disability and increase quality of life.
• Under Dr. Younan's direction, Venetian's CardioPro cardiac rehab program focuses on reducing symptoms and decreasing disability in heart patients. Services are designed to assist individuals suffering from challenging or life-threatening heart conditions, including those recovering from a cardiac event or surgical procedure, and those at risk for cardiovascular disease.

All three specialty care program models, available to Marquis-serviced skilled nursing clients, are clinician-led collaborations with the center's multidisciplinary care team. They are designed to support whole-person wellness as patients work to maximize their strength and independence.
