A Philadelphia woman died in a New Jersey Turnpike crash in Middlesex County over the weekend that injured 2 others, authorities said.
CRANBURY, NJ - A Philadelphia woman died in a New Jersey Turnpike crash in Middlesex County over the weekend, authorities said.
At around 3:28 a.m. early Sunday morning near the inner roadway milepost 71.1 in Cranbury, a Mercedes struck the rear of a BMW traveling south, a spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police told Patch.
As a result, the BMW traveled off the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail, state police said. The Mercedes then overturned and struck a guardrail.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 29-year-old woman from Philadelphia, was ejected and sustained fatal injuries, state police said. The passenger of the Mercedes sustained serious injuries; the driver of the BMW also sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, state police said.
