1 Person Critically Injured in Georges Road Accident

A car drove off Georges Road near Sarah Court Sunday night at 8:15 p.m., and the driver is critically injured.

South Brunswick, NJ - One person was critically injured Sunday evening in a single vehicle accident on Georges Road in South Brunswick township.

The accident occurred at around 8:15 p.m Sunday, Captain James Ryan with the South Brunswick police tells Patch. A vehicle ran off the road on Georges Road near Sarah Court.

The driver was critically injured, he said, and taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. No condition has been made available yet, and the victim has not yet been identified.

Ryan said he wasn’t sure if the icy roads or weather was a factor in the crash. As of 9 p.m. Sunday, Georges Road between Viking Way and Deans Lane will be closed down for the next five hours due to the incident, police said.
