2,500 Lose Power Friday in South Brunswick

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - An estimated 2,500 people are without power late Friday afternoon into the evening along the Rt. 27 corridor in South Brunswick, on the South Brunswick-Franklin border.
PSE&G is reporting there is a power outage on Rt. 27 on the border of South Brunswick and Franklin townships, police said. The outage appears to be on both sides of Rt. 27 near Sandhill Road/South Middlebush Road.
As a result, the traffic light at Rt. 27 and Sandhill Road has no power and is not functioning.

PSE&G is looking into the cause and estimates over 2,500 homes are impacted by the outage, police said. There is no time estimate yet when power will return.
