2 Men Trapped Inside Box Truck After Crash In South Brunswick: Police
Two men were trapped inside the box truck and were freed by the fire department, South Brunswick Police said.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – Three people were injured Thursday in a two-truck crash in South Brunswick, police said.
At 6:48 a.m. on Thursday, officers responded to the parking lot of 340 Middlesex Center Boulevard for a reported motor vehicle crash with an overturned box truck.
A 65-year-old man from Elizabeth, operating a 2019 tractor, parked it in the lot in between two trailers, when a second vehicle, a 2015 box truck, parked perpendicular to the front of the tractor and sounded the horn, police said.

The tractor then accelerated forward, striking the box truck and causing it to overturn onto its side. The box truck was occupied by a 38-year-old driver and 48-year-old passenger, police said. The tractor then continued in an arc and struck the box truck a second time before coming to rest in the parking lot.
The two men in the box truck were trapped inside. The Monmouth Junction Fire Department responded to the site and freed the men.

All three men were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Traffic Safety Bureau secured the tractor for mechanical inspection to determine whether or not vehicle malfunction may have been a factor in the crash, police said.
