3 More Kids Allege East Windsor Math Tutor Touched Them

Three more South Brunswick children and teens have now come forward to allege an East Windsor-based math tutor touched them inappropriately.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Three more local children and teens have now come forward to allege an East Windsor-based math tutor touched them. This tutor, Suresh Rawal, 65, was arrested in late July after a 15-year old student in Plainsboro said he touched them inappropriately.

When Rawal was first arrested on July 31, South Brunswick police realized he was a well-known tutor who worked with many children in South Brunswick as well, and they put out a call to parents asking if there were any other alleged victims.

Now today, it is revealed that three more children have come out against the math tutor: A 6-year-old, an 11-year-old and a 16-year-old, say South Brunswick police.

Police say that in April 1999, Rawal inappropriately touched a child between the age of 6- and 7-years-old during a tutoring session at Rawal’s home in Plainsboro.

Police also say that between May 2019 and July 2019, Rawal inappropriately touched an 11-year-old on multiple occasions during tutoring sessions. This alleged contact took place at Rawal's place of business, the KASR Capital Academy located at 666 Plainsboro Road, Suite 1175 in Plainsboro.

It was also determined that in August 2017, Rawal inappropriately touched a 16-year-old during a tutoring session at the student’s home in South Brunswick, say South Brunswick police.

He was arrested anew Tuesday of this week, Aug. 27 and charged with two counts of sexual assault in the second degree, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child in the third degree, and one count of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree.

He was first arrested in July when the 15-year-old said he inappropriately touched her during a tutoring session at KASR Capital Academy in Plainsboro. In that instanced he was charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact in the third degree, one count of endangering the welfare of a child in the third degree, and one count of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree.

Rawal lives in East Windsor.

The investigation is continuing.
