Intruder Caught On Ring Camera Inside South Brunswick Home, Police Say

Officers responding on Thursday found no one inside the home. Police are asking anyone with surveillance footage to come forward.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Police are investigating a possible burglary after a resident observed an unknown person inside his home through a Ring doorbell camera Thursday evening, authorities said.

Officers Garrett Byrne and Andre Civil responded to a home on Bernini Way at approximately 8:05 p.m. after the homeowner called 911 to report seeing an intruder on his camera feed.

The caller described the person as a tall man wearing a white T-shirt and a head-mounted light. The suspect walked out of the camera's view toward the master bedroom, at which point the caller lost sight of him, police said.

Officers conducted an interior check of the home but did not locate anyone inside. The resident reported that nothing appeared to have been taken.

South Brunswick police said residents will see an increased patrol presence in the area.
