South Brunswick Schools Set Summer Hours As Superintendent Reflects On Year

Superintendent thanks community as district shifts to reduced summer schedule.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The South Brunswick School District has moved to its summer operating schedule, with all district offices and buildings closed on Fridays from July 1 through Aug. 14, according to the district.

Most schools, including Dayton/Deans, Brunswick Acres, Greenbrook, Indian Fields, Cambridge, Crossroads North and South, Monmouth Junction, and South Brunswick High School, will operate Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brooks Crossing, Constable, and the district's Transportation office will run from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., while the Board of Education building will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The district is encouraging families, students, staff, and community members to check its website regularly for updates on office hours and services throughout the summer.

In a message to the district community, Superintendent Bernard F. Bragen Jr. thanked South Brunswick families and staff for their support during his seven months with the district.

"The South Brunswick School District's unwavering commitment to its youth is not just a mission statement. It is a living, breathing reality found in the dedication of your staff, the depth of your instruction, and the vibrant environment that defines this community," Bragen wrote.

He praised the "professionalism, patience, and genuine care" shown by the district's educators, administrators, and support staff, saying their collective effort "made a profound and lasting impact."

Bragen also thanked families directly, calling them "the heartbeat of this district" and crediting their engagement for elevating the community.

"As this school year closes, I wish every student, staff member, and family a phenomenal, well-deserved summer filled with rest, relaxation, and joy," he wrote.
