South Brunswick Police Now Hiring: Open House, Exams Set For Fall

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick Police Department is accepting applications for entry-level police officer positions, the department announced.

The department said it is seeking candidates "of all backgrounds" and is offering state-of-the-art technology and equipment, a competitive salary, paid training and private healthcare, according to the announcement.

Entry-level requirements include:

• U.S. citizenship

• Minimum age of 18

• New Jersey residency

• A valid New Jersey driver's license

• Meeting PFRS medical standards

• Good moral character

• 60 college credits or four years of honorable military service at the time of hire (no credits are required to take the exam)

The department has scheduled several key dates for prospective applicants:

• Open House: September 8, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at South Brunswick Police Department, 540 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction

• Physical Fitness Assessment: October 3, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (registration begins at 8 a.m.) at South Brunswick High School, 750 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction

• Written Examination: October 17, 2026, at 9 a.m. (registration begins at 8 a.m.) at South Brunswick High School, 750 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction
