South Brunswick Mulch Fire Keeps Firefighters On Scene for Hours

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A mulch fire broke out at Reliable Wood Products, located at 234 Broadway Road, around 9 a.m. Sunday, officials said.

The fire was contained to the mulch pile. Monmouth Junction Fire Department worked to extinguish the blaze, with several neighboring fire departments assisting by bringing water to the location.

The area around the fire experienced some traffic impact as fire apparatus operated in the vicinity.

Firefighters remained on scene for several hours. Officials asked the public to avoid the area while crews worked.
