SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick Police Department is inviting residents to apply for its nine-week Citizen Police Academy, which begins Wednesday, Sept. 23, and runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the police department.
The program gives participants an inside look at police work, including car stops and use of force, body-worn cameras, first aid response and evidence collection. Attendees will also take part in a hands-on practical exercise designed to give them a sense of what it's like to work as a South Brunswick police officer.
