Amtrak Brush Fire in South Brunswick Sunday

The Monmouth Junction volunteer fire department extinguished the fire, which briefly interrupted Northeast Corridor service.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Northeast Corridor train service was briefly interrupted Sunday after a brush fire occurred on the Amtrak/NJ Transit track in Monmouth Junction. Debris on the side of the tracks caught fire Sunday and it was an Amtrak train engineer who first reported the small fire.
