Armed Burglary On Buttonwood Court In South Brunswick
Breaking: There was a home invasion Saturday in South Brunswick; it involved the residents struggling with the intruders, who were armed.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — There was a home invasion early Saturday morning, Aug. 25, in South Brunswick Twp. and it involved the residents struggling with the intruders, who were armed with a gun, police said.
However, South Brunswick police think this was a targeted break in, and not a random incident.
The burglary occurred at an unlocked apartment on Buttonwood Court. At 12:45 a.m. Saturday, three men entered the apartment, South Brunswick police said. Armed with a handgun, the men confronted the occupants of the apartment and demanded cash.

There was a struggle between the actors and the occupants, and one of the men armed with the gun fired a single round into the floor. The actors fled the scene with an undetermined amount cash.
There were no injuries in the incident. South Brunswick detectives are following several leads and anyone with information is asked to call South Brunswick Police Detective Tim Hoover at 732-329-4646.
