Baby, 1, Injured By Hot Water In South Brunswick Motel
Breaking: Hot water spilled on a one-year-old baby staying at the Hotel Vicenza, and the child had to be rushed to Saint Barnabas Burn Unit.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A one-year-old baby staying at the Hotel Vicenza in South Brunswick was the victim of a hot water spill Wednesday afternoon, and had to be rushed by helicopter to the Burn Center at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, police said.
It appeared to have happened by accident, said South Brunswick police: The baby boy was in a crib and the child reached up and accidentally spilled boiling hot water on itself.
This occurred while the family was staying in a room at the Hotel Vicenza on Rt. 1 in Monmouth Junction. The baby had to be rushed by a medical helicopter to St. Barnabas. Locals might have noticed the helicopter that landed in the field near St. Augustine church.

As of Wednesday night, the one-year-old male baby was in serious condition at Saint Barnabas, police said.
