BOE To Discuss 'Leadership' At Meeting In South Brunswick Tuesday
According to the agenda, members will discuss "matters related to Board leadership" during Tuesday's special meeting.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, March 15 at 7 p.m.
This comes after BOE President Joyce Mehta's conduct came under scrutiny after it was revealed she used the services of the Board attorney for personal use.
According to the agenda, members will discuss matters related to Board leadership. And if required "action may be taken regarding the positions of Board President and Vice President." Mike Mitchell currently serves as vice president of the Board.

High drama ensued at last Thursday's Board of Education (BOE) meeting with residents calling on the Board president to resign over ethics violation concerns.
During a March 3 meeting, it was revealed that Mehta spoke to the Board attorney in January. The attorney then billed the school district. Attorney services are used only for Board matters. Read More: South Brunswick BOE President Faces Community Pressure To Resign

Mehta publicly apologized for not being transparent with Board members on Thursday but denied that her actions were inappropriate.
Upset community members called on Mehta to resign from her position.
