Boys U-14 Fire on a Three Game Winning Streak

The U-14 Fire won back-to-back games over the Westfield Rangers.

The U-14 Fire won back-to-back games over the Westfield Rangers. In the first contest, South Brunswick dominated the Rangers from start to finish and claimed a 4-0 victory.

Harrison Welsher connected for two goals, while Harrison Kudwitt and Ramy Badawy scored one goal each.  Alexi Rissiotis, Nick Marna and Joe Mastro were so dominant on defense that Westfield was limited to only one shot on goal during the entire game (a penalty kick).

In the second match, the Rangers were much more competitive, but the Fire claimed a 2-0 victory, their third successive shutout.  The game was scoreless until the second half, when Kudwitt went coast-to-coast for an unassisted goal.

Sean Louhisdon scored the insurance goal late in the game, and Ryan Cauley, Matt Cannon and Alex Mercurio pressured Westfield relentlessly.  The Fire defense was rock solid as Rissiotis, Tyler Bourdon, Corey Gorelick and Kyle Ferry allowed Westfield very few scoring opportunities.  Goalies Mastro and Nick Trautwein both made some difficult saves to preserve the shutout.
