Call For Donations To South Brunswick Food Pantry

This is what the pantry currently looks like, says Jeanne Wert, Director of Social Services for South Brunswick Township.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — That's the current state of the South Brunswick food bank pantry, above.

And this picture below is where organizers say they need the pantry to be in order to assist over 200 families with food for both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. The South Brunswick food bank pantry is run by South Brunswick Township. Donations may be dropped off between Oct. 23 to Nov. 13 for Thanksgiving, and for the winter holidays no later than Dec. 8. They are located at the South Brunswick Municipal Complex — 540 Ridge Road (Rt. 522), in the back of the main building.   • Stuffing and canned turkey gravy
  • Cereal and oatmeal
  • Canned cranberry sauce
  • Canned sweet potatoes/yams/white potatoes
  • Boxed mashed potatoes
  • Boxed rice
  • Cornbread muffin mix
  • Boxed brownies, cake mixes, icing, pie crust, and pie fillings such as pumpkin, apple etc.
  • Coffee
  • Peanut Butter and Jelly
  • Snack foods (low fat, low sugar)
  • Parmalat/boxed milk
  • Prepared noodle and rice mixes, boxed macaroni and cheese
  • Pancake mix and syrup
  • Chicken broth
  • Hearty Soups
  • Frozen turkeys/Ham

No expired food, please!
