SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Last Saturday, the South Brunswick Police Department hosted the annual Child ID Day.

The event drew the largest crowd in over five years, police said.

A total of 149 families brought their children to police headquarters to have their identification cards made.

Although the cards are not legal, they help provide police with critical information in the event the child goes missing.

The event was canceled during the past two years due to the pandemic.
