CKW Academy Host Annual Vocabulary Bowl on June 10

KENDALL PARK - City Kidz World Academy (CKW Academy) will be hosting the 3rd Annual Vocabulary Bowl at the Sand Hills Wellness Center in Kendall Park on June 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

More than 50 participants in grades 1st through 8th will participate in the finals on the day of the event. The students reside in South Brunswick, Plainsboro, West Windsor, and Princeton.

CKW Vocabulary Bowl organizer, Melissa Edwards, said, “We are excited to offer this event for the community for the third year. Over the years, we have had many participants. It gets better every year.”

While all finalists will receive a participation certificate, the top three finishers in each category will receive awards and trophies.

The categories are 1st – 2nd, 3rd – 4th, 5th- 6th, and 7th – 8th.

Several high school students will volunteer for the event, which will include a small outside festival and sponsor tables.

The sponsors of the event include: LuLaRoe, ItWorks!, The Art Studio, JerZJump, City Kidz World, and Common Ground Photography.

Edwards said, “This year and moving forward, we are inviting the local businesses in the community to work with us to support the Annual Vocabulary Bowl and any similar events that we host.”

CKW Academy also runs an academic year and summer writing program. The summer program starts on June 26. CKW is also one of the sponsors of the City Kidz World children’s literary magazine, which is published three times a year and distributed widely across New Jersey.
