Crash Closes Rt 1 North In South Brunswick

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A motor vehicle crash has closed Rt 1 North at Rt 522, South Brunswick police said.

The crash involves four vehicles and minor injuries were reported, police said.

Detours are in place for the next hour. South Brunswick police have advised drivers to avoid RT 1 North and RT 522 due to a current traffic issue.

Police are currently on scene clearing the crash. South Brunswick EMS and Monmouth Junction Fire Department are on the scene as well. Tow trucks are in the process of clearing the vehicles.

Officials expect the road to be fully opened within the hour.
