Crash Injures South Brunswick Woman, Cops Say

A South Brunswick woman was among the occupants trapped in a vehicle after a crash on Jersey Avenue earlier this week, police said.

A South Brunswick woman was among the occupants trapped in a vehicle after a crash on Jersey Avenue earlier this week, police said.

Around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, North Brunswick police were called to the crash.

According to a Facebook post from police, their preliminary investigation revealed that:

A 2015 Mercedes Benz, driver by Paul Mancuso, of Glen Rock, was headed north on Jersey Avenue.

Police are not sure why that vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines and hit a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Regina Bagala, 58, of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

Both Bagala and her passenger, Marie Miller of East Brunswick, had to be extricated from their vehicle by the North Brunswick First Aid & Rescue Squad, Inc. and members of the North Brunswick Fire Department.

All three people were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Jersey Avenue was closed between Huron Road and How Lane for about two hours.
