Police say drivers should expect delays again this weekend as crews continue their work on the Route 18 bridge near Route 1.

Police say drivers should expect delays again this weekend as crews continue their work on the Route 18 bridge near Route 1.
Work is expected to begin Friday and continue through 5 a.m. Monday.
According to East Brunswick police:

Two lanes of traffic will be open on Route 18 north and south, with lanes closures and 15 minute stoppages possible.
During overnight hours -- midnight to 8 a.m. -- a portion of Route 1 south will be closed in that area. Drivers will be detoured toward Route 18 north “where they will use the Route 27 exit as the U-Turn and follow signs back to Route 1.” Those detours will begin at midnight Friday and midnight Saturday.

The following ramps will be closed all weekend:
- Route 18 south from Route 1 south
- Route 18 north from Route 1 north
- Route 1 south from Route 18 north
