Downed Poles, Wires, Crash Causes Traffic Delays In South Brunswick
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for parts of the state on Thursday. See which routes are affected:
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Overnight rain in the South Brunswick area caused downed poles and wires in the Township making the morning commute difficult.
Pole and wires were down on US 1 in both directions North of Stouts Lane. All lanes were closed and detoured northbound. The lanes are closed southbound and there's a 10-15 minute delay.
Meanwhile, Route 1 is closed both ways between Route 522 and New Road for the next several hours due to a motor vehicle crash, police said. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and plan accordingly.
