Why are you seeking to run for School Board?

To continue the work I started three years ago as a board member and to continue to maintain and improve the education we provide our students.

South Brunswick saw its funding cut by more than $1.7 million in 2022-23. What do you plan to do to ensure no services are affected?

Continue working with the district administration and staff to find any additional cost-effective ways to operate our buildings and district.

What according to you is the biggest issue facing the school district currently?

Preparing for possible additional S2 funding cuts with the focus on doing everything possible to not increase class size.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I have 30 years of experience in working in a school district and understand financial and educational operations. In addition, I feel I have the ability to bring unity to the board. Something I feel has been lacking over the past year.

What is your view on the sexual education curriculum that Gov. Murphy put forth earlier this year?

As I said in at the Oct. 6 candidate's night, I struggle with this mandate every day. I want what is best for each student. I want all of our students to succeed. I truly wish the mandate established by the state would have encouraged more conversations between students and parents/guardians in discussing this topic. I feel our government lost a great opportunity to encourage better family relations.
