Enhanced Traffic Enforcement, Road Project: South Brunswick This Week
Here's a handy guide to what's happening in South Brunswick this week:
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick police will be enhancing traffic enforcement in certain sections of the township after evaluation traffic and data and receiving resident feedback.
This week's traffic enforcement will be in the following areas:
- THE GRANDE (off New Road): Speeding and stop sign violations
- Route 522 / Route 1: Red light violations, speeding
- Route 1: Passing stopped school buses
Here are the upcoming road projects in the township:

- New Road between Hodge Road and Route 27 - Tree removal. The project starts on Monday and will run all week from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic will move both east and west on New Road during the project.
- Route 522 between New Road and Stouts Lane: The Middlesex County Department of Highways will be milling and resurfacing Route 522. The project starts with milling scheduled to take place between Tuesday and Sept. 28. Paving is scheduled from Sept. 29 to Oct. 6, and striping is scheduled to be completed on Oct. 7.
Project dates are dependent on weather and equipment and are subject to change.
