If you have never heard of Book Spine Poetry, make sure you look at the poster in the library or check out the website for examples.
This workshop will cover what Book Spine Poetry is and hear about the Book Spine Poetry contest the library is running this summer. Instructions will be given and time will be spent collecting book titles from the collection.
Next week’s Creative Writing Exercise will be introduced and a reading list will be given for those who plan on attending the workshop on July 10.
A creative workshop for adults will be offered every Tuesday afternoon starting June 26 and continuing through August 14. The activities will relate to reading or books using the summer reading theme of "Between the Covers." The subject of the workshops will be about art, photography, creative writing, design, cooking, quilting, or other topics related to the theme or to nighttime. Specifics of each workshop can be found in this calendar or on display at the library. Attending a workshop gives the participant free entry into the end-of-summer party and 10 raffle tickets for the Grand Prize Drawings.
