Princeton University Professor Robert Vanderbei will lead a discussion on Amateur Astronomy as part of the Adult Summer Reading Program "Between the Covers."
Professor Vanderbei is the chair of the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) at Princeton University. He co-authored the book Sizing Up the Universe, published by National Geographic in 2010 which features his astonishing astrophotography.
Professor Vanderbei is also a member of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Princeton whose members search the skies from the Simpson Observatory in Washington Crossing State Park.
