On May 7, 2011, SAVE officially launched a $3,000,000 Capital Campaign to raise funds to build a new shelter in Montgomery Township. The new facility is scheduled to open in the fall of 2013. SAVE's current site is lacking in space for the animals, visitors and volunteers and is crumbling under the weight of 40 years of constant use. The new shelter will be:

• welcoming, bright and spacious
• safer, sanitary and state of the art
• ideal for animal intake, food prep, animal surgeries, exams & treatments
• energy efficient and cost effective
• a model shelter for the region
