Everybody Eats at South Brunswick Gallery

Tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the South Brunswick Arts Commission will hold a Meet the Artists reception for the new “Everybody Eats,” exhibit, which runs from Jan. 24 to April 2.

“Food feeds the body. Art fees the soul. Joining these two worlds of human experience with artistic expression about food—why not?” said Robert E. Heyer, artist/teacher/juror for the exhibit.

On Feb. 6, Heyer will offer “Painting Tips,” suggestions, helpful hints for artists who bring up one to three works to share.

On March 5, Sandy Behrend, an artist in the exhibit, will do a “Pastel Demonstration.”

Each of the Monday evenings (6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.) also provides a “Second Look” at the exhibit during evening hours.

Exhibiting artists are Stephanie Barbetti, Sandy Behrend, Michael Derer, Mary Allessio Leck (Kendall Park); Wendy Heisler (Monmouth Junction); Art Lee, John Sandstedt (Dayton); Fran Nimeck (South Brunswick); Don Bloom, Carole Grand (East Brunswick); Mary Ellen Brennan, Sue K Green, Lonni Merrill (Monroe); Vimala Arunachalam (Plainsboro); Indrani Choudhury (Edison); Jerry Spielman (West Windsor); Nancy Scott (Lawrenceville); Karen Stober (Warren); Lynn Cheng Varga (Yardville).

The Gallery is open weekdays, 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and evenings when meetings are scheduled (Monday–Thursday).
