Fireworks Postponed In South Brunswick Due To Thunderstorm
The Independence Day celebrations have now been rescheduled for Friday.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Independence Day celebrations and fireworks which were scheduled to take place Monday evening, has been postponed due to thunderstorms in the forecast, officials said.
The national weather service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Middlesex County through Monday night. Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible in South Brunswick, forecasters said.
The Independence Day celebrations have now been rescheduled for Friday, July 7 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the fields of Crossroads Middle School. The school is located on the corner of Major Road and Kingston Lane. The program will begin at 6 p.m. and the fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

The free event will have live music, food vendors, and fireworks.
Meanwhile, all Municipal offices will be closed on Tuesday.

There will be no recycling or garbage collected on Tuesday. All Tuesday material will be picked up on Wednesday, July 5.
Residents with Wednesday through Friday collections should place their material as normal and await collection.
