Many areas in New Jersey experienced localized flooding in this weekend's rains, and South Brunswick was one of them:

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Many areas in New Jersey experienced localized flooding in this weekend's rains, and South Brunswick was one of them.
South Brunswick police shared these photos to Twitter of flooding on Rt. 1, Rt. 522 and Ridge Road on Sunday afternoon.
That van above actually became disabled after driving onto the turnoff from Rt. 1 onto flooded Raymond Road, police said.

"The flooding started at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday and lasted till 12 p.m.," said South Brunswick Deputy Police Chief Jim Ryan. "The hardest impacted roadways were Route 1 near Raymond Road, Route 1 near Ridge Road and Route 522 near Summerfield Boulevard and Blackhorse Lane."
Two cars, including the one above, got stuck in flooded roadways. The drivers in both vehicles were able to get to safety on their own, he said.
