Former South Brunswick Football Coach Tapped for Rutgers

Rick Mantz, former head coach of the South Brunswick High School football team, was just hired as the Director of High School Relations for the Rutgers University football program. This is a brand-new position creating by new Rutgers head coach Chris Ash. Matz will serve as a liaison to high school coaches, according to USA Today.

Mantz was well respected as the head coach at South Brunswick from 2007 to 2011, where he led the Vikings to a 31-11 overall record. He coached local football great Mohamed Sanu, now in his fourth season with the Cincinnati Bengals.

In 2008, he led the SB Vikings to their first-every playoff victory. He was most recently head coach at Passaic High School.
