Free Middlesex Co. Conference Will Teach Seniors How To Spot, Avoid Scams
Older adults, caregivers and social service workers can learn how to avoid scams at this free 3-hour event.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — Middlesex County is hosting a free fraud prevention conference for older adults next month, bringing together county aging officials and prosecutors to help seniors and their caregivers recognize and avoid common scams.
The 2026 Senior Fraud Prevention Conference takes place Wednesday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Middlesex College, West Hall, Parkview Room, 2600 Woodbridge Ave., Edison.
The event is open to adults 60 and older, caregivers, and anyone who works with older adults. Attendees will learn how to spot and avoid scams delivered by phone, online and door-to-door.

The conference is a joint effort between the Middlesex County Office of Aging and Disabled Services and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
Attendance is free, but registration is required. The deadline to sign up is March 11. There are three ways to register: online at the county's registration form, by phone at 732-745-3295, or by email at mcoads.events@co.middlesex.nj.us.
