Gusty Winds Knock Down Tree, Utility Pole In South Brunswick: Police
A tree crashed into an SUV on Sandhill Road.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A father and son escaped with minor injuries after a tree fell and crashed into their SUV while they were traveling on Sandhill Road near Route 1 Monday afternoon, according to South Brunswick police.
Gusty winds are already causing problems in South Brunswick, which is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. They caused the tree to fall At 2:45 p.m. A utility pole fell across Davidson Mill Road about 15 minutes later. That road is closed at Riva Avenue to Fresh Ponds Road, and is not expected to reopen until 7 p.m.
